Guadalupe Historic & Railyard

Welcome to Guadalupe Historic & Railyard

The Railyard District is one of Santa Fe's most vibrant and dynamic neighborhoods, located just southwest of the historic Plaza. Once the city's railroad hub, the district has been thoughtfully transformed into a lively center for arts, culture, dining, shopping, and community events. Today, it blends Santa Fe's rich history with contemporary living, offering modern condominiums, galleries, restaurants, entertainment venues, and beautifully landscaped public spaces—all within walking distance of downtown. The name "Railyard" comes from its origins as the terminus of the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railway, which arrived in Santa Fe in 1880. For decades, the area served as the city's transportation and commercial center, bringing visitors, commerce, and economic growth to Northern New Mexico. Beginning in the early 2000s, the historic rail yard was redeveloped into the thriving mixed-use district it is today while preserving many of its original railroad features and industrial character. Today, the Railyard District is known for:

• The Santa Fe Farmers' Market, one of the country's premier year-round farmers' markets

• Contemporary art galleries, including SITE Santa Fe, and numerous artist studios

• Award-winning restaurants, cafés, breweries, and boutique shopping

• The historic Santa Fe Depot, which serves as the southern terminus of the New Mexico Rail Runner Express

• The Railyard Park and Plaza, featuring walking paths, gardens, public art, and community events

• A walkable, energetic lifestyle that combines modern amenities with Santa Fe's artistic and historic spirit. (santafe.org)

The Railyard District offers a unique urban experience unlike anywhere else in Santa Fe. It is a place where history, innovation, art, and community come together, making it one of the city's most exciting neighborhoods for residents and visitors seeking a modern lifestyle rooted in Santa Fe's rich cultural heritage.
